Kingi and Joho in Watamu, for "sweet things"

Delighted by Nonsologelato paistry and icecreams, disagreeing only on tastes

Put the two most important politicians on the Kenyan coast in front of ice cream and pastries, and the visit to Watamu becomes sweeter than usual.
Far from the headlights of the election campaign and secessionist statements of recent days, Kilifi County Governor Amason Kingi and Mombasa's colleague and political coalition companion Hassan Joho, this morning gave themselves a truly special breakfast in Watamu's temple of delicacies, from Anna to "Nonsologelato".
By consolidating a collaboration that is now also friendship, Kingi and Joho are lately often together in public releases, but also in private.
This time, however, it seems that they had serious disagreements: in fact Joho preferred yogurt, to be combined with hazelnut and vanilla flavours, while Kingi went straight on the black cherry.
A clear gap of view, which became a real split when at the sinking of the Governor of Kilifi on two creamy cannoli, the "sultan" of Mombasa (as fans call it) threw himself on two Sicilian cannoli with ricotta.
In the end, however, the joint communiqué is reassuring: ‘everything was really very good’.
And now it's up to you, the last Governors, to make the coast from Malindi to Mombasa a bit sweeter and more attractive.
In Watamu, I would say, we already start from a good base!
