Malaria in Kenya, things to know

Correct information about cure and diffusion

For many of those who are about to read, the information you give on malaria will risapute things, but there are many readers who approach to our portal without a thorough knowledge of one of Kenya's problems should be treated with due caution but often become material for legends, rumors and inaccuracies, fueled by the superficiality of so many Italian general practitioners and the bad faith of some luminaries in the pay of some pharmaceutical companies (two in particular).
So we might as well start at the beginning: Malaria takes the bite (and not from the "bite" as yet found written on some sites and blogs that regularly gleaned and copiaincollati by as many pseudo-journalists ignorant) of the Anopheles mosquito, which injects protozoan parasite "plasmodium falciparum".
This is not a virus! You do not stick from person to person or through blood or saliva!
Or, as suggested by the idiot drafter of a travel website "because they do not wash the fruit or good hands."
The mosquito Anopheles, and only the female, must sting just you.
Malaria is usually incubated in about ten days, in rare cases a week, more often up to fifteen days. There are tourists, just arrived in the tourist resorts, which are believed to have caught malaria after a few hours. It is not possible.

BUT THE BIGGEST LIE ABOUT TO MALARIA REGARDS PROPHYLAX.

The Italian doctors, government sites, even the most important tour operators, recommend for malaria to make a preventive care, which could be good if you were to become infected. Given the likelihood that there are, especially during a brief holiday on the Kenyan coast, to take malaria, it would be like taking a preventive care for not taking glaucoma and to avoid contracting cholera.
Moreover prophylaxis is harmful, for the liver and for the many side effects caused for example by the use of contemporary other medicines. When talking about "coverage of 75% from malaria" is not immunization but mere conjecture never actually refuted.
For some years now, to make matters worse, there are medicines SAFE AT ONE HUNDRED PERCENT acting as normal antibiotics once that malaria does occur. Obviously they are not sold in Italy and in Kenya cost a fifth of prophylactic medicine, such as Malarone Glaxo.
Local pharmacists also sold together with the "kit" to get yourself the slide and a combination of two drugs, to completely eradicate, in the unlikely event you take it.
The basic substance is artemisinin, which is not only able to effectively treat malaria, but also to sterilize Anopheles mosquitoes, so that they can not reproduce. In this way, in a few years, malaria in Kenya fell by 46% and data not yet even mentioned the 60% of 2010 officers.
The most important medicines based on artemisinin are produced in China, and the corporations that speculate on our health do not seem to appreciate ...
The most important doctors working in Africa for years have a positive view combinations of artemisinin-based drugs and quinine, and declare that prophylaxis is to be avoided. So do not make the prophylaxis to come to Kenya, but before you go home you buy a combined kit, which usually has long maturities.
